Special Offers at SuperValu

Posted by: peter in: Bargains & Special Offers

They’re all at it. SuperValu are trying to compete with their own selection of €1 bargains. Weight Watchers bread is down from €1.61, SuperValy 6pk free range medium eggs down from €1.59, Sqeez Orange Juice reduced from €1.64, and Dairygold Soft Butter is down from €1.99.

Irish Pork Loin chops are half price at €5.25 per kg, and five Irish chicken breasts are available for €5.99.

SuperValu logoThe supermarket is also promising long-term cuts on frozen food ranges. Goodfella’s Delicia Pepperoni Pizza is down from €3.49 to €1.74. Meanwhile, 300g of SuperValu mild rashers are down from €3.98 to €1.99 (stock some up for the freezer, perhaps?). McAndrews Shiraz Cabernet and Semillion Chardonnay wines are half-price at €6.99.

They don’t seem to be offering as many bargains as Superquinn, Tesco, or Dunnes, while Aldi and Lidl remain more competitive (even if their range is not as wide). Outside the discounters, who do you believe offers the best value?
