Posted by: jean in: Bargains & Special Offers

marks-and-spencers-logoI’m told that the Dinner for Two for €12.50 posters were being put up in M&S windows this morning…I will go down there at lunchtime and let you know what’s on. Yay!  So perfect for such a cold manky Friday.

Update: Ok folks, here’s a selection of what’s on offer today.

Mains:

  • Lasagne
  • Sea bass fillets (you could make Peter’s sea bass and lentil salsa, what what?)
  • Chicken for roasting
  • Chicken fillets with pesto and mozzarella
  • Beef meatballs
  • Pizza
  • Butternut squash and goat’s cheese lasagne

Sides:

  • Dauphinoise Potatoes
  • Parmentier Potatoes
  • Garlic Ciabatta
  • Caesar vegetables

Desserts:

  • Pannacotta
  • Chocolate fudge pudding
  • Cappuccino cheesecake
  • Profiteroles
  • Cheese selection
  • A box of mint chocolates

They also have a good lunch offer - €2.75 for a sandwich, crisps and a drink.  And their Chinese food range is 3 for 2.

picked this up earlier on - a great offer (its been running every couple of weeks since around september). Place was jammed, so it’s obviously doing the business for them (though I wonder how much money they make on it…)

How quickly are the popular items restocked?

Hi Aoife - very quickly in my experience. The last time I went in, it was after work and I expected the shelves to be bare, but they still had a great choice.
The items are part of the normal range, just grouped together into this offer, so I’d imagine anything that isn’t sold is just put back into the normal stock - so they don’t seem to have limited quantities.

Just wanted to add that I got the box of mint chocolates instead of a dessert and they’re absolutely delicious. I’ll be going back for more. Clever M&S. :)

Hi…went to M&S Liffey Valley today and all items were gone and no more coming in, a lot of people were asking was there none left? Obviously v popular offer. Will go earlier when on again. Thanks for heads up on this one…
