Among the many recessionista restaurant specials which will make a change to previous years of Valentine’s extravagance comes Cafe Leon’s 3-course menu for €30, reports the Sunday Business Post. Located on Exchequer Street and Wicklow Street, they’re offering dishes such as foie gras terrine on toasted brioche and rabbit saddle chasseur with dauphinois gratin.There’s also the option of heart-shaped macaroons for dessert.
Cafe Leon are also currently offering an early bird dinner from Monday – Thursday: three courses for €20. The offer is available from 6 till 7:30pm. I’ve eaten there a couple of times and it’s always been lovely, and Peter nominated it as one of his favourite cheap eats in Dublin.
