Black Sesame Ice Cream

Posted by: peter in: Food Blogs & Websites | Recipes | Sweet Things

black-sesame-ice-creamOver on Kieran Murphy’s unfailingly excellent Ice Cream Ireland blog, this Black Sesame ice-cream looks divine.

It’s a little bit of work but quite cheap to prepare. I reckon this would make the perfect end to a Thai, Chinese, or Japanese dinner. Most of the ingredients are available anywhere, although black sesame seeds might be a bit tricky to track down; Kieran suggests looking in an Asian food store.

I’ve always thought of ice-cream as one of those things you buy rather than make, but Kieran’s made me think twice. Where could I even buy such a unique flavour?

Ice Cream Ireland was deservedly listed as one of Ireland’s 20 most essential blogs in last Saturday’s Irish Times.
