While ruining my lunchtime by spending it looking for something to wear to a wedding (argh), I noticed a couple of restaurant deals that might be worth checking out:
Saba, the excellent Asian restaurant on Clarendon Street, has a special menu from 12 till 6: two courses are €15.95, three courses are €19.95. They also have a healthy soup special: Tom Yum or Tom Kah with rice and ginger tea, from €7.95 for veggie to €9.95 for prawns.
The always-reliable Cafe Bar Deli have a lunch special: soup and a sandwich for €10.

soup and a sandwich for €10? doesn’t sound great to me – they should be throwing in a drink for that price.

saba is lovely and considering the usual prices this is a good deal … however (ahem!) does anyone else find that all these two courses and three course deals mean you might eat more than you really want ? for lunch i would VERY rarely eat two courses but somehow when i see these deals i think they are great ?
