Can’t help but feel that Superquinn is not in the ballpark at the moment. They haven’t moved to expand their ‘euroshopper’ range so most of the goods available are full price branded goods. Their ‘Euro’ specials are hit and miss and not enough to encourage me to do a weekly shop there. If I happen to be in the neighbourhood I will pop in for the one or two of the Euro Saver deals that appeal (eg: Johnsons holiday skin for €3 or Lloyd Grossman pasta sauces for €1). If they are going to survive the big R they need to have a big rethink about their target customer cos theres not many of us can afford to ‘come for the prices and stay for the service’. Superquinn just aint that super anymore.

Yes I can’t understand why Superquinn don’t extend either. The Euroshopper label has got quite an extensive range – if you’re ever in the Netherlands and go to Albert Heijn you’ll see loads more of the Euroshopper range, it’s pretty popular over there.
