In a clear challenge to Aldi’s Super6, Lidl have slashed the price on six fruit and veg items between now and Tuesday May 12, including:
- Loose aubergines – half price – reduced from €1.19 to 59c
- Broccoli – 33% cheaper – reduced from €1.49 to 99c
- Blueberries – 33% cheaper – reduced from €2.99 to €1.99
Also at Lidl, specials from Thursday May 6 until Sunday May 10 are focused on the kitchen, and include:
12 piece Stainless Steel cookware set – €64.99- 24 cm Thermopoint Aluminium Pan – €19.99
- Dipping dish set – €9.99
Then, on Monday, there’s a new set of specials:
- Kids Wendy House – €99.99
- Ladies Bikini – €5.99
- Men’s Aqua Shoes (surprisingly useful, I’ve found!) – €5.99
