“As welcome as the cuts and the price wars are for many struggling households – including that of this barely employed freelancer”
Barely employed is amazing. You posts save lots of people lots of money, and if you believe the horrid Rupert Murdock, the era of free content is coming to an end.
ASDA did due diligence on Dunnes Stores fairly recently, while nothing seems to have come of it as yet, if ASDA (Walmart) did buy Dunnes then there’d be a perfect storm of a price war.
Like a lot of people, recently I’ve had to cut back on the amount I spend on food but it really worries me when I see whole chickens on sale for less than 3 euros.
Last year, we were all concerned about battery farming and what we were consuming – not only for animal cruelty concerns, but for our own health.
I know we have less money, but how about eating less meat but of better quality?

this will be short term good for the consumer but long term bad.
less long term competition is bad imo

Hi Billy. Cheers. We’ll always be free for our readers, whatever Murdoch does! 🙂
