We haven’t really touched on convenience stores on CheapEats, as they’re generally considered pretty poor value.
However, some of them seem to be making efforts to reduce prices in line with reality. Centra are currently offering a tea or coffee and a freshly baked scone for €2.
Slightly less appealing to me is a wrap or pasta salad, plus a 500ml bottle of water, for €4. They’re also plugging an evening meal deal: a 2 pack of Centra burgers, Centra Simply Cook Wedges and Centra Coleslaw for €5.
I haven’t tried any of these myself, but if any of our readers have, please share your feedback. Is their coffee any good? And is the dinner as mediocre as it sounds?
