We want to thank all of you who entered the CheapEats Classifieds competition, and for the valuable feedback that you left. We’ve already made some changes based on your opinions. There were some points that came up quite a few times, so we thought we’d write a short post explaining a bit more about the Classifieds service.
Search by location?
All offers are tagged with their location, so you can use the tag cloud in the top right menu to check which offers are available in your area. The cloud also allows you to sort the offers by type of cuisine.
Dates on offers?
To keep the service simple, we only show current offers. Any offers displayed on Classifieds are currently available. The offers are updated once a week, with a new batch appearing each Monday.
Comments on offers?
Because the Classifieds site only lists current offers, we can’t really add a comment function. Once an offer comes down, the comments with it would disappear as well. You can still leave comments as usual on the main CheapEats site.
Booking details?
Full details for each offer can be found by clicking the ‘full details’ link at the bottom of each post on the homepage.
