COMPETITION CLOSED: CHECK BACK LATER TO SEE IF YOU HAVE WON!
CheapEats.ie, in association with the Irish Independent’s LoveFood magazine has another fantastic prize to give away. How would you like to win a two-night stay for two people courtesy of the gorgeous Temple Spa near Moate in Co. Westmeath? The prize includes:
- Overnight accommodation for two people
- All meals on both days
- One spa treatment for each guest
- Access to spa facilities and participation at your leisure in the daily programme of activities including guided walks, tai chi, and relaxation classes.
LoveFood hit the stands on Wednesday June 3. I’ve a few articles in it: one on picnics with a twist, and one with summer BBQ recipes from top Irish chefs Niall Narbison of Look and Taste and Denis Cotter of Cafe Paradiso in Cork. You’ll also find features with wines for €10 and Italian recipes from Dunne and Crescenzi.

About Temple Spa
We’ve written here about Temple Spa before: it’s one of the best spas in Ireland and one of only three luxury destination spas in the country. I’ve been lucky to go twice now (you can read our review here), while a previous CheapEats prizewinner highly recommended Temple Spa after her stay there.
Temple is small, intimate, in a gorgeous setting, and surrounded by the historic retreat of Clonmacnoise. Owners Declan and Bernadette Fagan, along with a dedicated staff, treat every guest like royalty. They’re genuinely passionate about creating a unique and utterly wonderful experience. It’s got 23 rooms, a great selection of indulgent spa treatments, and a brilliant local, seasonal, and often organic food philosophy.
Head chef David Godin has worked in some of the world’s most renowned restaurants, and I relished every mouthful of his healthy and scrumptiously indulgent creations.
All Temple Spa’s packages include access to spa facilities (Jacuzzi, sauna steam room) and participation at your leisure in their daily programme of activities. Temple is only an hour from Dublin, and they can organise a pick up from the bus-stop in the nearest village if the winner doesn’t drive.
