€30 per ticket and then you have to pay for the food once you get in. Would love to go, shame it’s such a rip-off

It’s hard to see how €57 for two people for “no eats whatsoever” deserves a slot on cheapeats.ie

I went a few years back and did think it was expensive for what you got. Having said that, I’m stumping up for a ticket again (research, don’t you know) – will be going along on Friday. I did at least get one of their ‘promo’-priced tickets, but they don’t seem to be selling those online anymore – I think yesterday was the last day to book at the promo prices…

I saw an ad in the paper at the wknd stating there was a 20% discount off all tickets – sales must be v. poor this yr.

Just an after thought – the promo prices are no longer valid since June 7th!!! I went a couple of yrs ago and while I enjoyed the day be prepared to fork out for small amounts of food. There are lots of free sample to be got off suppliers though.

I think it’s a complete rip off personally.

I would much rather take the money that I would spend here and treat myself to a lovely lunch in one of Dublins high end restaurants instead. This way I feel I am getting better value for my Euro and I am supporting the restaurants that need it during this recesssion.

I find it too expensive and didn’t feel like chancing to try it. Rip off for a meal really ruins my mood…From comments above I think I was right.

I’m heading along at 5:30pm and planning to buy tickets on the door.

Is it too late to get any of the discount tickets?

Anyway, I’ll be going straight for the The Steak Frites as it sounds yum!

I was looking forward to this until I saw the prices. Decided against going in the end. A smaller cover charge would have justified the price of dishes.
