I’d love to hear all those tips and tricks on growing your own fruit, veg and herbs. Especially as our garden only has sun for half of the day and how to benefit most from the bit of sun we get
This would great, there are herbs growing in our garden but none of us know, how to cultivate them, would be great to find out and sort the rest of the garden 🙂
We recently moved house and our back garden looks like a jungle. It has so much potential but its such a big job. It really is a blank slate. I haven’t decided or know how to approach it. Some help and tips would be great.
I have some peculiar conditions- I have a large deck and a large balcony above for a garden, but it is so sheltered that it is very dry. It can be hard to know exactly what to grow, where, because you have to balance plants that suit our temperate climate and yet don’t require too much water! Impossible?
Well our garden is a jungle so any help… That aside though it really is great to see people turning what they love into businesses and sticking two fingers upto the recession and the theory that you cant start a business in these times!!!
Am hopefully soon moving house for the first time in over 28 years and have never been big into the garden (been the ex husbands job) so this would be of a great help to me!! PS good luck with the business!
What a great idea! So many gardening courses are either expensive or booked out and the advice isn’t necessarily tailored to the type of garden you have.. Well done, Huub!
sounds great! We just moved and at last have a small garden, and are wrecking our heads trying to figure out what to do with it (total novices, both of us!) Expecting a baby too and would love to be able to grow some fresh fruit & veg for the little one. Please enter us in the draw…
Hi Huub,
my late father used to grow our veg when we were kids.
I’d love to be able to take the now dis-used garden & be shown how to grow fruit, veg & herbs……we find the organic stuff in our local supermarket so expensive.
We only have a patio space at the moment, and have started growing herbs, salad and tomatoes in planter boxes. I wonder what other veggies are suited to container growing and small spaces.
Sounds like a great prize. Does Hubb have any organic solution for getting rid of the nasty white flies that have appeared all over my strawberry plants? Thanks
Please include me in the draw. I have a small city garden with the usual ; dog, bbq, kids, rope swing, some fruit trees (mostly used for climbing into and jumping out off), patio, table, clothes lines, shed and husband who guards every square cm for his flowers, lawn and shrubs ! I have been left with a couple of fish boxes for the salad which is regularly crahed into by footballs followed by small boys and a large dog. We eat according to what has been spilled over ! We could really do with a bit of professional help. Best of wishes on your great plan.
This sounds like such a good idea – all the best with it Hubb.
I think my question would be – for someone who has NO gardening expertise or experience at all, what are the easiest plants to start out with? I have a terrible feeling I’ve black fingers..!
