Beware of shrinking portions

  1. I have noticed Zumo smoothies have changed their cup sizes- very annoying- they are pricy enough already!

  2. The Courts coffee shop never known for value for money [previously €2.50 for a plain untoasted bagel to go] has more than halved the size of their scone so its practically a biscuit now. When I mentioned it, the staff agreed and shrugged. I could take it or leave it as they didnt care. Obviously customer service isnt included in the price.

  3. It’s not really to do with shrinking portions but I nearly died when I got the bill for a fruit scone and cappucino in Queen of Tarts this morning-€6.15!!!

Don’t get me wrong I love Queen of Tarts but certainly wont be visiting them again-simply can’t afford it!!

  4. A reader of Conor Pope’s Pricewatch blog points out that bags of Maltesers have shrunk in volume but cost the same as before.

  5. Londis is only putting a half a fillet of chicken in their cheap rolls, when the advertising is clearly advertising chicken fillet, not a half a fillet! I argued with a server and when he wouldnt put in the rest of the fillet I left him with the roll in his hand and walked out!

  6. Nude on Suffox st wraps have become increasingly limp, dreary and anorexic.
    Pretty depressing experience.
