Marks and Spencer BBQ

Posted by: peter in: Food News | Irish Producers

ms-grillWhat a day for Jean and I! After a visit to the Taste of Dublin Festival, we stumbled along to a Marks and Spencer barbeque to check out their new Grill range. Who could say no?

The event was a chance for M&S, peacock-like, to showcase their food and drinks for summer entertaining. The food was very delicious indeed, and it was a good opportunity to meet some of M&S’s Irish suppliers, including Keeling’s, Dunn’s, and Linden Foods. The M&S Grill Range includes:

  • Peppered Steak Burgers – €5.49
  • Whole Chicken Leg with Chilli and Lime Butter – served 2 – €4.19
  • Melting Middle Tuna Melt Burgers – €6.99

I’m having a barbeque myself tomorrow, but I have 20 people to serve, so this would be out of my price range. Mine is strictly a bring your own meat and booze affair, while I’m going to provide potatoes and salads. But if I was having a smaller affair, I’d definitely pick up some M&S treats. You could probably feed four people for under €20 with food from their range for a very fancy BBQ indeed.

Have you tried the Grill range? Or how would you put together a cheap but delicious BBQ?
