Some recipes for the weekend from some of my favourite Irish food blogs.

First up, to reassert my manliness - grrr! – I can swagger around while making these Manly Spuds from the Daily Spud food blog.

If you’re having a barbeque or a picnic, check out Donal Skehan’s Red Cabbage and Carrot Coleslaw, or his Warm Chorizo, Red Onion, and Baby Potato Salad, over on the Good Mood Food blog. Yum.

Over at Toasted Special, Aloo Tikka Chaat is a fried potato cake flavoured with Indian spices. Looks great for lunch.

Finally, for a light and simple lunch, head over to Italian Foodies and try Lorraine’s Asparagus and Parmesan Tarts.

  • SJ: I second the "Just off Francis" recommendation. Lovely little place!
