Dad was up in Derry visiting his family recently and, as usual, came home armed with a load of groceries from Sainsbury’s. They have some pretty decent treats, and their own range items are – in my humble opinion – a damn sight better than those of Tesco or Dunnes.
Some special offers this week include:
- McGuigan Bin Series Chardonnay (75cl) – was £9.99, now £4.99
- Surf Concentrated Liquid Tropical (1.47L) – was £5.52, now £2.76
- Sainsbury’s Gressingham Whole Duck (approx 2.4kg) – was £6.89 per kg, now £3.44 per kg
Offer expiry dates differ wildly. But click here for more details.

Wouldn’t really make the effort to go North for food – but it is great value for alcohol.
