Shopping at Asda

Posted by: peter in: Bargains & Special Offers

logo_asda-141120071Is anyone still shopping up north (I ask gingerly)? With price cuts at pretty much every Irish supermarket, are prices here now matching up to those in the north? My sister Barbara, the ultimate authority on Northern Irish value, is busy with her new baby, so my main source of information has dried up.

Here’s a look at some of the special offes currently at UK giant Asda:

  • Fresh Fruit and Veg – 3 for £2 on a selection including courgettes, nectarines, bananas, baby potatoes, tomatoes…
  • Napolina Peeled Plum Tomatoes – 98c each or 2 for £1
  • Jumbo Pampers Baby Dry – £11.98 each or 2 for £18

Most of the offers seem to be multisavers (buy two for £2 etc), rather than specials on individual items. Perfect, perhaps, if you’re stocking up on tinned items?
