Should Murphy’s do a pink ice-cream tub to support gay marriage?

Kieran Murphy of Murphy’s Ice-Cream Ireland is contemplating producing a pink icecream tub to support marriage equality, and is currently asking for feedback on the idea.  Head over to Ice-Cream Ireland to have your say.

I think it’s a great idea, I’m a big fan of active citizenship and using everyday items to raise awareness of issues.  And if Murphy’s were able to donate a small percentage of the profits to one of the organisations that are working on marriage equality, such as MarriageEquality.ie, that would be great too.

Go for it.

Ben and Jerry’s did a similar one in response to Prop 8:

Great idea. I dont know about a pink tub though, people may confuse it with breast cancer. What about a rainbow one instead?
