If you want stuff that splatters well, just use what the mythbusters use. Vegetable oil and red food coloring.

I know pictures which would otherwise be considered tasteless are acceptable at Hallowe’en, but I think your picture with the noose could be offensive.
Offensive to who? Christians, or prunes?
