Marks & Spencers 1c offer back on tomorrow

Posted by: jean in: Bargains & Special Offers

marks-and-spencers-logoMarks & Spencer ran an offer earlier this year to celebrate their anniversary: a selected range of items were only 1c each.  The offer is on again tomorrow, Friday 13th November.  The Christmas Bazaar ad says that hundreds of items will be priced at 1c each, ‘from knickers to puzzles to chocolate’.

One of my friends who went along last time said to be prepared for some pushing and pulling, and for calls from the security guards to remember your dignity.  But he also said that although there were queues, they moved quickly and that by showing up early, he managed to snag plenty of loot.

I happened to be in M&S when this offer was on last time – and was glad I hadn’t make the trip especially as the things on offer are really only rubbish! There is a restriction of 5 items per customer so you can walk away with 5 pieces of rubbish for (almost) nothing if thats your thing…

Just been up there in Grafton st. There were a few nice things, like socks, tea towels, money boxes, chocolates, little games. Its more of a charity thing. You don’t actually check out the stuff you just give some money to people collecting – its for the Marie Keating foundation. It was very well organised and the queues were moving quickly. A few nice stocking fillers.

  • Sinead: If you're anti-Nestle and into saving a few quid, there's a new Irish site selling Nespresso compatible pods for around 15% less. I've tried them and
  • SJ: I second the "Just off Francis" recommendation. Lovely little place!
