Specials at Lidl

Posted by: peter in: Bargains & Special Offers

Lidl LogoUpdated: Oops, my mistake. I put up the Northern Irish food specials by accident. The Republic’s weekly food specials include:

  • Clementines - reduced from €1.49 to 99c
  • Heinz Cream of Tomato soup (4 x 400g) - reduced from €3.49 to €2.49
  • Spanish Rioja - 6 for 4

Lidl wine? Hmmm… Click here to see all the weekly food offers.

A kitchen appliance sale starts today. I’m good for a creepy stainless steel bin that flies open when you go near it, ta, but I could do with :

  • Kitchen scales - €7.99
  • Multi-purpose 5 speed blender (my blender’s broken!) - €17.99.
  • Stainless steel pans (the Tesco Value ones I bought last year are very rusty) - €8.99

Click here to see all today’s specials.

Next Monday, you can pick up the world’s ugliest umbrella and some Christmas presents for your artistic friends and family. Click here to see all next week’s specials.

And finally, Lidl’s Christmas offerings are miserably disappointing compared with Aldi’s, which I reviewed earlier this week. I can’t see myself shopping at Lidl for Christmas, if the highlights are their notoriously awful cheese, some frozen seafood, and a 4.2kg turkey for €7.99. I’m pretty broke, but I can’t imagine going near that turkey, even in complete fiscal desperation. Maybe I’m too fussy?
