Special Buys at Lidl

Posted by: peter in: Bargains & Special Offers

Lidl LogoFruit, vegetables, and juice were all running low in my local Lidl yesterday. Hopefully the delivery trucks will make it today, as this week’s food offers include:

  • Carrots – half price – now 49c per kg
  • Kiwi – half price – now 59c per kg
  • Yoplait strawberry and hazlenut yogurts – buy one get one free (a rather useful BOGOF offer for a change)

Offers are valid from today, Thursday January 7, until Sunday January 10. Click here to see them all, and remember there will be new offers on Monday.

You can see all Thursday’s special buys, which includes a stainless steel deep fat fryer for €29.99, here. From next Monday, special buys include a 24cm casserole dish with glass lid; click here to see them all.

A peculiar “Live Healthy” promotion will see Lidl’s shelves stocked with “low fat” spray UHT cream (ugh, ugh, ugh, for many reasons), potato snacks, and a third-rate version of everyone’s favourite fourth-rate dessert, Angel Delight. Click here to see all the creepy Linessa range, and do let us know if you survive it.

And finally, Lidl’s Super Saturday sees a grand total of four items reduced in price, including fish fingers from €2.15 to €1.15 and 10 rolls of toilet tissue from €4.15 to €2.15. Check it out here.

Lidl have excellent stationery on sale at the moment. Paper pads and boxes of pencils are all €1, and they come in lovely packages with primary colours and nice fonts. I bought loads despite the existing stationery mountain in our house.
