Fruit, vegetables, and juice were all running low in my local Lidl yesterday. Hopefully the delivery trucks will make it today, as this week’s food offers include:
- Carrots – half price – now 49c per kg
- Kiwi – half price – now 59c per kg
- Yoplait strawberry and hazlenut yogurts – buy one get one free (a rather useful BOGOF offer for a change)

A peculiar “Live Healthy” promotion will see Lidl’s shelves stocked with “low fat” spray UHT cream (ugh, ugh, ugh, for many reasons), potato snacks, and a third-rate version of everyone’s favourite fourth-rate dessert, Angel Delight.
