Shop/ Off License Review: O’Neills, South Circular Road

o'neills off licenseStudents at Griffith College are probably familiar with the great selection of beers across the road in O’Neills, but for the rest of you, I think this place is worth mentioning.

It’s an unusual off-license, also selling various cheeses, biscuits, milk, and newspapers. There’s always some specials on. On Monday, I saw:

–    6 cans of Bud and 7 cans of Fosters for €10
–    A litre of milk for 79c, 2 litres for €1.29
–    Selection of chocolate bars (Twix, Mars etc) 2 for €1
–    Sauvignon Blanc reduced from €12.99 to €9.99
–    Packets of Hill’s biscuits 2 for €1
–    Other boxes of biscuits reduced to €2 each

The selection of beers here really shines, with choices from all over the world. I saw some specials on cider as well. I enjoy browsing through the drinks and picking up some random specials when I pass by.
