Tesco aren’t great at keeping their website up to date, so it isn’t easy to keep you up-to-date on their specials. Supplements on Tesco specials fall out of every newspaper around, and in last weekend’s Irish Times I noticed that the Tesco Finest meal deal – wine, main, side, and dessert, is only €10.50 now. Otherwise, readers can check their specials by signing up online at  www.tesco.ie/groceries.

• Cava and other wines – half-price
• Thonton’s Classic Collection chocolates – half price – now €6.49
