Cheap BBQ at the 40 Foot, Dun Laoghaire

Posted by: peter in: Good Value | Restaurants | Reviews

bbqIf you’re down in Dun Laoghaire (my new favourite haunt) this weekend, check out the excellent value BBQ at the 40 Foot. For €5, you can get a beef burger, chicken fillet burger, or a jumbo sausage. Add in an extra €3 and you can fill your plate with three salads too. The burgers were quite simple but also really well cooked, and the salads were just like you’d get at a home BBQ. Best of all, you can pile your plate sky high, ignoring the wise advice of Safefood to cut down on portion size.

The 40 Foot are running this offer every weekend while the sun is out. With a few beers, it’s a very pleasant way to while away a weekend afternoon.

I’m from Bray so I’d be interested in checking it out, but I’ve a few veggie friends, do you know if there are any suitable options for them?

Ah no bother, I’ll just have to bring the meat eaters some day!
Thanks anyway!

OR, there’s the FREE burger in Solas on Wexford St – every Friday from 5 (I think), can go back for limitless helpings too! Don’t even think there’s a requirement to have ordered any drink in the place either – we had bought drinks but we weren’t interrogated or anything!
