I can’t say enough good things about Amnesty, and don’t want to get all preachy here, but will say that their focus on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights has been a steadfast voice for justice and against tyranny, across the world.

Many thanks to Superquinn for sponsoring this competition.

  1. has to be with a nice selection of desserts 🙂

  2. I love the idea of sharing a bag of sweets while on a long bus ortrain journey. “Would you like one?” If you are sitting beside someone you don’t know on a bus or train it can start a conversation and the journey then seems shorter.

  3. My favourite is family dinner on St stephens day its about the only time the whole family gets together theses days as we seem to have run out of weddings and christenings

  4. I love inviting people over to have a coffee morning or evening with lots of cake and biscuits!

  5. Getting a few different dishes and everyone sharing

  6. Indian or Chinese, takeaway or in the restaurant, everyone order what they want, but share all the dishes. Don’t invite the person who insists their dish is for them alone.

  7. Great to relax with friends, some nice food, wine, perfect for the weekend

  8. As the evenings are starting to close in, what better way to pass the time than having friends over for some wine and food.

  9. Cooking Tip: For crispy roast potatoes first par boil and then shake before placing in the oven.

  10. Shake them with a small bit of semolina Barry and the spuds will be even crispier.

  11. A picnic on a fine day is the best way to share food. Kids love it and food always tastes better outdoors!!

  12. My friends and I love to gorge on cheese and crackers. Honestly, nothing is more delicious or easier to share! A big cracker assortment, a load of fancy cheeses, fruit, balsamic vinegar, french baguette… it’s wonderful. Lovely to pair raspberries with goat’s cheese.

  13. I’ts great to go to the dogs at Curraheen Road, and get a great meal served, while we watch the dogs from the comfort of our table

  14. Whatever the food- its always better when you eat it together!
