I suppose you could make fizzy bolognaise 🙂 (declaration of interest – wine is not for drinking, it’s yucky, but in tomato food is nommy)
I bought a bottle of that fizzy red a few weeks back from Superquinn and I was really disappointed in it, the flavour was just not great. Ended up using it for cooking, not something I’ll be buying again.
Is Lambrusco not a fizzy red? I like Superquinn food, but the items you have listed don’t appeal at all. I find the sausages and chicken liver paté boring (1980’s…), the rib too messy to eat as you rightly point out. I prefer blinis with smoked fish, mini quiches and vol-au-vent, dips with mountains of vegetables sticks
