Competition closed. Check back Tuesday to see if you’re a winner.
To mark the launch of the summer and the start of alfresco dining, Marks and Spencer have generously provided four €25 vouchers to give away.
Regular readers will know that we’re big fans of M&S. The Dine In for Two for €12.50 deal is easily the best supermarket offer in Ireland.
This weekend I picked up wine, sirloin steak, chips, and cheesecake; this is pretty much getting two top-class meals for free (incidentally, for the week that’s in it, my friend J. Headen Esq. commented that customer service in M&S is always excellent).
M&S marinaded meats, sauces, marinades, and salads are perfect for the barbeque season. Come hell or high weather, my mouth is watering at the thoughts of the sticky smoked paprika BBQ chicken I picked up as part of the current dine in offer.
But it’s not all about the barbeque! I recently organised a perfect seaside picnic with their hummus, crackers, salads, sausage rolls, delicious pink lemonade, and fresh cakes. By availing of their offers it all came to around €15 for a very fancy lunch for two
I’m lucky enough to be attending the M&S annual BBQ later this week, so I’ll report back on the full range next week.

I love the Dine in for 2 offers in M&S. I rarely go there if that offer is not on (it’s a bit out of the way) but I always buy more things when I am there! Their cocoa is great (and fairtrade) and they have lovely jams. 🙂

Adore M&S, get their meal deal and a DVD for the same price as a burger out and cinema ticket – tastier food, no sticky floors, no babysitter and a bottle of wine to boot! Can’t say fairer than that. Also love the consistently edible deli fare – chicken that looks and tastes like chicken! Radical!

Monday 30 May, 2011 at 8:59 pm
The variety they offer is second to none – and they have the best selection of sauces and sides and picky bits ever, I can never leave with only one thing!

Yep
All good but for anyone who cares about Ireland and our economy you might just ask yourself why M&S stocks hardly any Irish food. If you knew how hard local producers have to work to get a look in with international multiples you’d think twice about singing the praises of M&S when they do so little to support Irish producers.

Tuesday 31 May, 2011 at 12:37 am

M&S reminds me of childhood trips to England, because we didn’t have M&S here when I was little!
Tuesday 31 May, 2011 at 2:04 am
Love M&S but a bit too expensive for us poor students 🙁
Tuesday 31 May, 2011 at 7:11 am
When I worked in Temple Bar years ago, I’d sometimes walk over to the M&S on Grafton Street to get lunch, but I’d joke that I could never leave without spending at least €20 – I’d invariably be tempted by loads of other things to bring home. Not much has changed since then! I’d love to win a voucher.
