Went for dinner this evening. New premises are lovely and there’s a couple of nice additions to the menu. Made complete and utter pigs of ourselves for only 22 quid each. Even towards the end when the sweats started I was still determined to finish every last delicious morsel!
Tried this for lunch- had a half chicken, croquettes and a drink- at E18 a VERY expensive lunch. And what did I get? KFC chicken, soggy horrible croquettes and LAZY slow inattentive staff (when they leave you at your seat for 10 mins without even taking a drink order and you stop one of them to take you order you shouldnt get a bitchy “Are you in a hurry?” as a reply. It’s lunchtime- people have to get back to work). As it was it took another 25 mins for the food to arrive! Nice views of Chatam st from the dining room but it was so noisy- all noise just bounces off the walls. Won’t be in any rush back and definetly not for lunch.
Went for the first time since they moved to the new spot last week. Everything was delicious, no change since the last incarnation as far as I could see. I do agree though that it’s way too noisy – it was impossible for our group to hold a proper conversation.
