Thanks for the feedback, I’ve edited the recipe to make it clearer. Basically it includes a recipe for a large batch of French dressing, you just use 3-4 tablespoons for this salad and can use the rest for other recipes. If you only want to make the carrot salad, just use smaller quantities for the dressing.

or 400ml per carrot?

Den, I don’t think the 800ml French dressing is a line in the recipe; it’s just telling you what the following ingredients will make.
Though I agree that even 800ml of dressing for 4 carrots is a little excessive.
