Query: Why do we always post about M&S’s Dine In?

Things got a bit quiet on CheapEats here recently and one of our commenters asked how come we were only posting about M&S Dine In offers?  It was a fair question – the answer is that we were all very tied up with busy day jobs and summer trips, and were only managing to find the time to post quick updates about that deal.

We just want to make it clear that we don’t get paid to promote the M&S offer.  If we are doing a sponsored post for M&S (or anyone else), we will always mark it clearly as such.  We regularly post about the M&S Dine In offer because we both genuinely think it’s a fantastic deal.  The food is fresh and great quality, and it’s possible to avoid processed stuff and instead get the ingredients to make a delicious meal from scratch each time.  The feedback we’ve had from our readers is that our posts are a helpful reminder to them to pick up the deal.  If it stops being fantastic, we’ll stop posting about it.

With all that said, it’s probably a good time to mention that said deal is on again this weekend – see the menu on the M&S website as usual.  Thanks!

  1. And I was that poster! Apologies guys it was meant partially in jest as I’m a big fan of the site and had been on a few times only to really find M&S deals. In saying that everyone needs a holiday and it’s great to see the site is flying again. Quick shout out for a great cheap eat in DunLaoghaire. Gourmet Food Parlour tapas on Thurs/Fri/Sat. Live music and very competitively priced food

  2. No need to apologise at all Jack! We really did appreciate the honest feedback – you were constructively critical – and your point was perfectly valid. Thanks for the support 🙂

  3. And +1 for Gourmet Food Parlour, lovely spot. Never had dinner there though, must give it a try.
