  1. I really hope that the Black Sheep see this post. I love the beers they do and that each time you can go in and get different things in tap or cask. But, its too loud. Far Too loud and playing music makes it worse.

    Often, when thinking of a spot to go to, The Black Sheep is mentioned before being thrown out for the noise. Terrible Pity. It could be so great.

  2. Yeah, I agree about the noise problem. Their sister bar, Against the Grain, suffers from the same bad combination of bad acoustics and loud music. Very nice places, but I can’t stay for a full evening.

  3. That’s strange I thought the same. Very bustly, vocals tend to travel quite far. Draping some nice curtains around the place would kill the noise a bit I think. I like the food but their beers are better. Creans is a great little beer from Dingle I’m fond of.

  4. Thoroughly agree with the previous posters about the noise. Love the place and indeed the sisters Against the Grain and the Brew Dock on Amiens st but have taken to only going in to them late afternoon or early evening when I know the noise won’t be unbearable. As all three seem to have the same acoustic assault one has to assume the noise is intentional – to speed up the drinking perhaps? I pity the poor staff…
