  1. haven’t been there yet but read review in the sunday business post about Keshk Cafe on leeson st. Med/Greek food apparently delish and best of all BYO and no corkage charged – they don’t have a wine licence but you can buy a nice bottle in the supermarket and they will serve it for free …. we need more places like this!

  2. That sounds great SJ, thanks for the tip, we’ll check it out. BYO restaurants are great..the overcharging on wine in Irish restaurants is one of my main peeves.

  3. popped into the Bella Italia Restaurant in Thomas Street in Limerick to pick up some take away and was pleasantly surprised to find that they had a special on offer:

2 large tubs of pasta sauce of your choice
    1 stick of garlic bread
    1 tub of coleslaw
1 tub of freshly grated parmesan
1 lb of fresh pasta of your choice

    Price 16 euros

I jumped at this offer as 2 tubs of sauce come in at about 12 euros or so.

fed our hungry family of four very well with plenty of pasta and sauce left over for lunch today.
