  1. A neighbour was telling me that they had some good deals, but I still think they’re very pricey – unfortunately my shopping trip was doomed from the start because I was reeling from the courgettes being a EURO EACH!!!!

  2. Hi English Mum. I did a double take when I was charged €1.78 for a little head of brocolli earlier on. One of those moments where a combination of politeness and laziness prevents me from walking away.

    Certainly though, I’ve found the SuperValu in Deansgrange cheaper than Dunnes for a lot of items. Been going there a bit lately when I shop in the Lidl across the road. But maybe different SuperValus charge different prices?

  3. Hi Peter, I think you’re right. There’s a new Tesco opened up here in Bailieboro and it seems much better value than the one in Navan. I suppose it’s a case of shopping around.
