  1. For the past couple of weeks I’ve been getting gorgeous trays of strawberries from the pram ladies on Henry St. Really juicy and only €1 a tray. €5 is extortionate!

  2. Irish strawberries are always a bit dearer (but oh so much nicer) than their bland Spanish / Dutch counterparts…. But they should only be available from May/June, so I guess these are not worth buying. Even half priced, they will be a tad bland and it’s really worth waiting for the juiciest, flavoursome (and somehow cheaper) Irish strawberries which should be here in a few weeks

  3. I agree Nanazolie. This is somewhat baffling: strawberries are not in season in Ireland at the end of April so these are probably not worth buying.
