  1. oh no … i’ll never get a table again!

I can’t say enough about this place … try it out . .the food speaks for itself, the service is brilliant and you get a sparkling wine glass to drink the wine you bring with you !! It doesn’t get much better than that …

They also do cookery courses which I have been meaning to investigate..

  2. I might be a lone voice here, but I wasn’t bowled over. Delicious, sure – but they LOVE their salt, everything was far too hot (which I think just screams kitchen impatience, or maybe my impatience…). I just think there’s a fair amount of bandwagonning, that because everyone raves about it you expect it to be gorgeous and then presume it is even though it’s slightly less than.

I mean it’s lovely, and BYOB is a novelty indeed, but I just don’t think it’s Michelin standard or worth all the furore. (Retreats back under rock from whence she came.)

  3. Rosemary is correct, Keshk isn’t great but it’s good. The service is OK (very friendly), the food is tasty but simple. The key about this place is that it’s reasonably priced and good quality. It’s the type of place you can go for decent standard home cooked food without cooking it yourself and without breaking the bank. I’ve had dinner for 2 here for less than €40 and enjoyed a bottle of wine from home, there aren’t many decent places in town that can offer this kind of value.

If you’re into wine, the BYOB with no corkage is a brilliant thing. You can bring some bottles from your own stash and enjoy them with restaurant food without any extra charge or hassle. Just remember to bring some robust red wines to cope with the food. Personally I see this as an excellent chance to trade up a little on the restuarant wine drinking as a quick pop into Louis Albrouze next door will yield some excellent bottles (a lovely mature 2000 Chateauneuf De Pape, or a fresh 2007 Chablis). If I were to gripe it would be that the wine glasses aren’t the best, but what do you expect for no corkage…

  4. I’m definitely going to try this place, it looks great! Although like Tom I do judge a place on it’s Hummus so I will definitely be ordering that 🙂
