My dad alerts me to some bargains at SuperQuinn. All the following staple/ store-cupboard items are just €1 (original prices in brackets):
- Kellogg’s Cornflakes (€2.28)
- Irwin’s Multigrain Bread (€1.99)
- Dairygold Light (€1.79)
- Sharwood’s Sauces (€2.25)
- Birds Eye Chicken Burgers (€2.69)
Meanwhile, Dr. Oetker’s Ristorante Pizza Range – probably the best frozen pizza you’ll find in the big supermarkets – is down from €3.29 to €2; whole Irish chickens are priced from €5.
Some good deals there; Sharwood’s sauces are quite good. These offers are valid until January 18. Dad says they Superquinn sometimes limits these items to three per person, but if they’re really good, he’ll queue up again.

Dr Whatever’s pizza is shite. Its by no means one of the best frozen pizzas. Most of them are no better but M&S, Tesco and Superquinn all do much better own-brand frozen pizzas.

You’re probably right on that one Junior Box, but Dr. Oetker’s is the best of the branded frozen pizzas (Chicago Deep Dish, Goodfellas etc) on the market. The supermarket’s own-brand pizzas are usually fresh, not frozen.
