The very very nice Winding Stair restaurant on the quays in Dublin is currently doing a lunch special – two courses for €15.95 or three courses for €20.95.  I’ve eaten there before and can vouch for its loveliness, and it’s one of Ireland’s Bib Gourmand restaurants for 2009.  However, I did hear on the radio yesterday that a number of the Thomas Read group restaurants have gone into liquidation: here’s hoping that the Winding Stair holds on.

It’s a good deal, but I wish more restaurants were offering all-day specials, and not just restricting them to lunchtime and early birds.
