I love that I can get free range and organic eggs in my local Aldi, but twice got tough, chewy free range chicken, not good! Love their organic veg though…
I don’t live near an Aldi but happened to be passing one on Sunday and dropped by – the 79c deals on fruit and veg are truly fantastic, I got asparagus, strawberries, mushrooms and potatoes for less than a euro each…you really can’t beat it!
I occasionally pop into Lidl if I pass one. I always think their fresh fruit and veg is really good. They sell an excellent whole chorizo as well and it’s dirt cheap!!

Superv@lu had a buy two for €5 on strawberries this weekend; what we didn’t eat on Saturday was mouldy by Monday!
