Review: The Good Rooms Cafe, Adare, Co. Limerick

goodroomMy mum, Jean McGuire, passed through Adare in Co. Limerick last week. She and her sister Diane stopped in The Good Rooms Cafe for a bit of lunch.

On exploring a row of very quaint thatched cottages which housed various goods and chattels we came across, in the midst of them, The Good Rooms Cafe. On entering, we were struck by the lightness and brightness of the place. To me, the biggest plus of all was the cleanliness.

A very friendly waiter approached us for our order and welcomed us. I ordered Scrambled Egg which arrived with a large slice of toasted, home-made brown bread and a small pot of tomato relish, all served on sparkling white plates. Tea was brought in a large pot with a small jug of milk and sugar on a silver tray. The scrambled egg was cooked to perfection: all in all, a very tasty snack.

My sister had a fry which, again, came on a sparkling white plate and wasn’t swimming in grease. All in all, highly recommended!
