I’m so with you on those wishlist items – and if said wishful bakeries would sell real sourdough (like the kind you get in San Francisco), I would be first in line!
TBH I’m not mad on Madina. I’ve eaten there 5-6 times in the last year. Initially I liked the cheap curry, but the last few times I’ve ordered, I’ve gotten curry with meat on the bone. The dishes give the impression of having lots of substance, but by the time you’ve stripped the little amount of meat off the bone, you’re not really left with much.
I do like their minced meat curry with peas. That is quite tasty and substantial.
theres great falafel at the stall at the dublin flea market (last sunday of every month). Its only once a month but well worth the trip. Possibly the best in Dublin me thinks. Shame theres not more around town though

Over Christmas, there was a falafel stall down the side of the Powerscourt centre. It was yum. I’d love to see it a permanent fixture!
Must try Madina as I live nearby.

She hits the nail on the head there for me, as far as Le Bon Crubeen goes.
