God no, not Rick’s.
If I want a burger and couldn’t be bothered to make it myself I go to Eddie Rockets. At least they’re consistent and I can just about fit it in my mouth.
A visit to GBK in Liffey Valley turned me off GBK for life.
I’ve eaten rick’s sober, they;’re not bad.
Bobo’s burger’s are indeed poop, although I do like their mushy peas and chips.
I have gotten savage burgers in the bull and castle, though the staff are incredibly annoying and rude.
ahem…. I consider myself a foodie, and I like falafel in a burger. Actually, it’s the only burger I eat because I find mince meat (any type) revulsive. And yes, you can get falafels that are firm, light, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. “Light” does not mean “reduced fat”, by the way, since falafels are deep fried.
I remember foundly my student days in Jewish Paris where the corner guy did an amazing (and so cheap it makes me cry to think about it) falafel sandwich, in a flat bread with deep fried aubergines, hummus, salad, baba ganush….

You’re SO right about BoBo’s. And it’s such a shame, cause I too appreciate the untapped potential. Their chips are good, they are. That’s about it. – I just can’t get past the fact that they don’t season their beef patties enough. Seriously, who tasted the food and made that executive decision? It hurts because they could be SO GOOD!!! It’s not hard to make a great burger, you’ve just got to do a few little things, really well! I mourn for what they could have been.

I still think the best burgers i’ve had in Ireland have been from Ricks on Dame St.
Joburger in Rathmines we’re some of the worst i’ve eaten. Stale buns with overcooked eggy meat.
Once you’ve eaten Kobe beef burgers in the states, Irish burgers fail in comparison 🙁

Agree with kieran. Rick’s has greasy goodness in every bite.
Jo’burger – too dry. Not as great as they think they are.
The Bank do a decent burger, if a bit of a handful. Burgers are better with beer.
TP Smith’s does a horrorshow deep-fried hockey puck. Avoid.

Deep fried aubergine! That sounds lovely Nanazolie, feeling hungry for the falafel now 🙂
