Considering my utter failure to get my herb garden going, Lidl’s starter vegetable packs – part of its Thursday to Saturday specials – might be worth the €2.99 outlay. They’re selling onion planting sets for 99c and potted Italian herbs for €2.99. You’ll find full details of their specials – which also includes a five pack of men’s T-shirts for €9.99 and a household ladder for €27.99 – here.
From next Monday, Lidl’s specials include printers for €74.99, a computer desk for €79.99, and sticky tape rollers for €1.99. More details here.
Meanwhile, as we mentioned last week, they’re selling kitchen equipment at knockdown prices. Click here to find out more.

Just back from Lidl. Their rhubarb plants at €3.99 looked so sad and miserable. Maybe they grow bigger when you plant them?

What a great idea for a blog, you got there before me, best of luck with it…
As a qualified horticulturalist I have to say the quality (for the most part) and the cost of the plants available at Lidl is simply amazing..
At last there is a supplier who is available for the frugal gardener…
