Nando’s Peri Peri sauce! It’s been quite a while since I’ve eaten at Nando’s, but their peri peri sauce is very good indeed, and I’m glad to see you can get it in a supermarket.

Oh Superquinn – my local one in Blanch is so confusing. They seem to re-arrange their layout at least once a week. It’s hit and miss what brands their stocking and where they’ve hidden them. They used to be a nice mix of mid and high end goods, now it’s just confusing. I only go their now with a list of what’s on offer – buy those and leave. Tesco’s become my main grocery store. Too bad, cause I’d have rather supported a local shop.

Tried to buy fairy liquid at Superquinn for €1 as advertised on their special offers brochure last week, but was charged €1.39. It turned out only GREEN fairy liquid was a euro and not YELLOW. I returned it, got my money back, and bought fairy liquid at Tesco for €1 – all colours!

In fairness to SuperQuinn, they’re trying to compete, yet promote Irish produce. There’s less high end products as I assume they just weren’t selling.
I think the offers are great there. Sea Bass fillets for €2.. Trout for €1 etc.
As for Dunnes being Irish… the brand might be Irish but Tesco have more Irish products which is what counts in my book.
