Fantastic offer and food.

A selection of reasonably priced regional wines from around Italy, the type you see on holidays but rarely find in restaurants here. Also some nice not too pricey desserts including some authentic Italian ice creams.
Tuesday 10 March, 2009 at 7:25 pm
Off peak offer of a pizza with a glass of wine or water or coffee for free would appeal to me.
Tuesday 10 March, 2009 at 8:19 pm
I would like to see more Vegan options. Or at least a clear indictaion on menu’s about which dishes are suitable for vegans.

recommendations on italian wines – milano food combo’s… considering how well established italian food is in our diet, their wine is relatively unknown… (at least it is to me)….

This post reminded me s we went to Milanos in Killarney for dinner this evening, very reasonable, great food etc. but it felt like an age before they brought out the mains – think they forgot

Allowing people to bring their own wine would be a good idea- a lot of restaurants in Europe and North America seem to do this, but I think only one place in Dublin does so far

Not eaten in Milano so I’m not sure what they offer for children, but generally Italian restaurants are better than most at offering a wider choice for children. Don’t you just hate it when you go into a restaurant and it’s that standard ‘pizza or chicken nuggets’ for kids? Good choice for kiddies gets my vote.

Tasty food at good prices, that’s the way to stay in business, love Milano’s!
Wednesday 11 March, 2009 at 2:30 pm

Wednesday 11 March, 2009 at 2:56 pm
Every Italian restaurant should have its own signature Pizza or pasta dish…. I love a proper Italian Carbonara! Also loving the 2 for one pizza deals at Milano’s at the moment!
Wednesday 11 March, 2009 at 3:45 pm

Loving the Milano deals at the moment – and the pizzas are so yum!
Wednesday 11 March, 2009 at 4:50 pm
Authentic ingredients and flavours, ditching preservatives where possible.
Option to buy some of the basic tomato sauce to take away.
Create your own on the pizza menu instead of basic options.
Wednesday 11 March, 2009 at 4:54 pm

A really good risotto!
Wednesday 11 March, 2009 at 8:27 pm
Love the idea of an antipasto starter plate complimentary with every two mains or something similar, doesn’t have to be fancy – olives, dough balls, caprese, bit of parma… I always think having a starter makes a meal feel a little more special or something…
Milano’s is a super restaraunt, their 2-for-1 deals are fantastic and I love the way the portion sizes are no different because you are using a promotion as some places do (a certain pasta place on Chatham Street..). Kudos.

Great value, great food, it just can’t be beat! Milano has had some fantastic recession-friendly deals lately, keep it up! 🙂 I’d love to see more wine-inclusive deals, such as pizza and a glass of wine for 12.50 or something…mmmmm pizza and wine….
Wednesday 11 March, 2009 at 10:48 pm
simple…good food!
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 9:30 am
A meal for 2 under 40 with wine would be a great deal. I love Milano’s pizzas and they are consistantly good. I like that i know my meal will be as good in any branch.
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 10:47 am
A dinner offer for about €20 starter main mail and a glass of wine would definately get me into a restuarant for a cheap decent meal out. also anything to do with free desserts is always one to get me out cant resist the tiramisu!!
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 11:50 am
Buy one dinnner, get one free would be a good incentive!
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 12:00 pm

Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 12:11 pm
Appeal to all and provide an authentic italian tasters platter for under 10 Euro – sampling the best from your menu with a glass of wine. Perfect for those money conscious individuals and also those in town just looking for a bite to eat.
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 12:35 pm
A delicious sweet trolley containing old favourites like tiramisu, creme caramel etc. would go down a treat!
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 12:41 pm
Love Italian food! Never been to Milanos but have heard some great reports. Love to try.
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 12:42 pm
Fresh antipasto dishes are a must. Also, pasta should be fresh..could be highlighted on the menu
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 12:49 pm
I think a two course meal for two people & a free botttle of wine for €49.00 is always a sure fire winner on getting people into restaurants, sure you could not go wrong with that!
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 1:55 pm
I like specials on slow nights – do us a deal for Sunday or Monday night suppers and the place will be thronged.
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 1:58 pm
Two for one deals or anything with free drinks go down well with me! As do gnocchi and lovely Italian sauces with proper fresh ingredients and herbs
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 2:29 pm
A nightly special Monday to Wednesday with one pizza and one pasta dish for €10. That way it brings people in and you will still made considerable profit on other dishes, drinks and desserts
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 2:46 pm
A LITTLE DOLCE VITA!
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 2:49 pm
Real pizzas for cheaper / vegetarian dishes that are not pizza or pasta primavera
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 3:09 pm
After having our honeymoon in Italy one thing we found with some good resturants was they done a sharing special where they brought out some dishes to share, but you don’t know what they are going to plate up for you before hand. most of the dishes where specials from the chef’s region of Italy
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 3:51 pm
Maybe if they gave a free bottle of wine with every dinner over €40 and perhaps if they had Al Pacino serve me it might add a little sparkle to an evening!
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 3:52 pm
A main course (could be a daily option) with a glass of wine for a reasonable price 15 euro or so, that is available all hours. It would also be nice to get a complimentary bowl of olives to graze on while waiting.
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 5:08 pm
Milano’s Garlic Bread is just the best!!!
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 5:23 pm
A complimentary glass of limeoncello or grappa to finish a meal. Drivers can abstain!
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 5:45 pm
I “Roma” for a “Pisa” “Milano”!
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 8:05 pm
My friends and I all LOVE Italian food but it’s so hard to get us all together and go out for dinner…how about having a ‘Friendly Menu’, like if you get a group of 4 people or more on a Thurs. or Fri. night to eat out, Milano’s will give a discount off each person’s meal equal to the number of people at the table? Entices us to go and gives Milano’s a great image when there are table’s full of large groups of ppl!
Thursday 12 March, 2009 at 9:45 pm
Free bottle wine with two main courses Mon. to Thurs.
Friday 13 March, 2009 at 6:56 am
I think something like a 25% reduction from your final bill for parties of two or more diners would be a good idea.
Friday 13 March, 2009 at 9:45 am
Milano’s is a big favourite in our gaff. The staff are so calm and on the ball when it comes to feeding young ‘uns.
One of the best colouring / puzzle books around – that’s very important while our two young fellas (5yrs and 2yrs) wait for their pizzas.
And, of course the food is yummy – for grown-ups as well and great value. Nice house wine.
A lovely end to a busy week.
Friday 13 March, 2009 at 10:26 am
Free desserts!
Friday 13 March, 2009 at 10:59 am
A two for one main course offer (not just restricted to pizza) would be great as it could be used for lunch or dinner. Otherwise a free glass of wine with every main course would be great!
Friday 13 March, 2009 at 12:52 pm
A meal deal for 2 would entice me into an italian- a set menu with a bottle of wine, and maybe a starter and desert to share.
