We had a post here last week asking readers to help us find the cheapest pints around. One of the commenters on that post struck gold on the interweb: DublinPubScene.com, which has a league table of the cheapest pints, no less. The pubs all get individual reviews and some of the customer comments are pretty great:
On the Garden of Eden lapdancing club: “This pub is full of scantily clad women and I kept on being asked would I like to dance. ”
Not all the cheap pubs are horrifying (although plenty are) – the Dice Bar is apparently cheap for Guinness. The prices listed are a bit out of date, but it still gives some handy guidelines.

Recently went up from €3 to €3.50, but if you don’t mind a bit of a rough (read: this is where homeless people drink) pub you can get a pint of Guinness for €3.50 in the classy “Restaurant Royale” on Golden Lane just off South Georges Street.
Good hearty full Irish with tea for €5 too. Bit of a rough diamond 😉
Disclaimer: Regulars are drinking there from breakfast time.

pintofplain.com appears to have more up to date pricings.
