Day of the Dead in 777

Posted by: peter in: Food Events

Wait! Halloween’s not quite over yet. Over in Mexico,  the Day of the Dead celebrations run from October 31- November 2. Similar to our own ancient belief about the returning dead at his time of year, it’s thought the departed return to visit their families, so there’s a big public festival.

To mark it, delicious Mexican restaurant 777 have a special night. Rock up tonight (Thursday Nov 1) from 9pm in your best fancy dress/ Day of the Dead costume (you’re looking for something like this) for dinner, drinks, and dancing. It’s €10 for a dinner of “sacrificial lamb”, but you pay for your own cocktails or drinks.

I love the food in 777, even if it is a bit expensive, so this is a good chance to try the place.
