M&S Valentine’s Dinner for Two for €25

marks-and-spencers-logoOur reader Gill tipped us off that M&S are running their Dinner for Two special again this week, but this time it has a Valentine’s theme.  It costs €25 instead of the usual €12.50 but includes greater quantities of fancier food, and runs from today until Sunday instead of one day only.

€25 gets you a starter, main course, side dish and dessert for two, along with a single red rose and a bottle of wine.  The food choices include:

Starters:

  • Antipasti selection
  • Breaded camembert
  • Goats cheese tarts
  • Prawn cocktail
  • Salmon cocktail

Mains:

  • Mediterranean seafood selection
  • Sirloin steaks
  • Rack of lamb
  • Chicken breasts stuffed with Gruyere and Parma ham
  • Lightly smoked salmon fillets
  • Duck a l’orange
  • Rump steaks

Desserts:

  • Lots of Valentine’s themed desserts such as heart-shaped chocolate puddings and chocolate souffles
  • Strawberries
  • Fruit tarts
  • Raspberry and white chocolate cheesecakes
  • Triple chocolate puddings

There is a wide range of potato and vegetable side dishes, and the wine choice includes rosé Cava and sparkling wine.   I have to say, it looks like really great value.  Thanks Gill!

  1. Starters also include Coquille St Jacques and smoked salmon slices. Looking forward to cooking it up tonight

  2. Excellent -thanks for the info on the choices available…im way too obsessed with M&S,should work for them :0)

  3. Oh yum … not a fan of processed or ready meals but do love a bit of M&S now and then .. mgiht pop in tomorrow and check it out ..

  4. Hey SJ…there’s lots of stuff in the selection that you can cook from scratch, like the steaks and fish.

  5. And no veggie mains? Poor show M&S, they’re usually a lot better than that.

  6. This is only a selection of the stuff on offer, and I did overhear someone asking about veggie mains…I didn’t quite catch the whole response but I’m pretty sure I heard ‘butternut squash’ in it.

  7. There is definitely a butternut squash roast or the like in the mains. M&S wouldn’t forget that.

  8. Do you know, I saw an ad for this on one of the UK channels, and it was £20 over there. I was wondering how much it would be here? I thought at least 30eur, but am pleasantly surprised to see that M&S are FINALLY listening to consumers and passing along nearly the proper exchange rate.

  9. I got the offer today – just to let you know that there are 6 items to get before the discount comes off: Starter/main/side/dessert/wine and then a rose or box of chocolates. I was at the till without the chocolates (didn’t realise) and it didn’t come down to the discount price until the manager informed me I had to take the rose or the chocolates.

  10. Ok, just back from getting my meal for two. It was chaos in there, complete bedlam. You have to get six different items for it to register at the till, and everyone in front of me has forgotten something. Then my turn came, and I had checked so carefully I had everything. But it seemed something was wrong. She tried scanning everything again and it worked. Madness. Great offer but way way too complicated!!!
